so i’ve been back for a lil bit over a week now. even though it doesn’t seem like that long of a time it feels like i’ve been here for such a long time already. the funny thing is, i haven’t even started class yet (that’s monday, which im not too excited about). overall things have been pretty chill. mainly just been kickin it with my cousin. the food’s been awesome, the shopping’s been great. my only 2 complaints are probably the weather and my luck with umbrellas. i swear every yr i have to buy multiple umbrellas when im in taiwan. umbrellas are basically a necessity bc it rains almost every day here. but that’s nice bc it clears away the humidity….kinda. i always have to buy multiple umbrellas bc for some reason the ones i buy always break. the first thing i did when i got here was get an umbrella. i got one for $100NT (roughly $3 USD) pretty good deal. that’s the price i usually pay. but not even 12 hrs later, the umbrella broke. so i was forced to buy another one. this bad boy only lasted me about a week. it also ended up breaking, im not sure how. so today i had to buy a 3rd umbrella…in only 11 days. let’s see how long this one lasts me.
on another note, im literally sitting outside a 7-ELEVEN using their wifi bc i unfortunately have no wifi/internet in the apartment im living in. not gonna lie, it’s pretty difficult living haha. it’s crazy how dependent we are on internet these days. so as a result, im sitting outside, sharing a table with a mom and daughter drinking slurpees and eating ramen, all next to a busy street sweating…just for internet haha.
